Els, Stijn and the wife of the boss of the circus are having breakfast in the kitchen of the cook. They are talking about Lydia’s new act and about the snake Stijn saw last night in Lydia’s mysterious box. The wife of the boss of the circus tells she wanted to jog this morning with Lydia, like every other morning, but she could not find Lydia anywhere. Usually she waits outside her trailer when she is ready to start running but this morning Lydia wasn’t there and she wasn’t in her trailer either. Stijn says he wants to know where Lydia has gone and leaves the kitchen, starting to search for Lydia. He asks everyone he meets about Lydia whereabouts but no one knows where Lydia has gone. When he arrives at the lion’s cage he also asks the lion tamer if he knows where Lydia could be found. The lion tamer doesn’t know about Lydia’s whereabouts either but he has other things to worry about. The lions seem be very restless this morning. Both lions are in one of the corners of the cage and are roaring all the time. One of the lions even tries to break the bars of the cage with his theeth. “If the lions stay so restless for the rest of the day I don’t perform with them tonight”, the lion tamer says. “No money in the world makes me perform in a cage with two restless lions”.
